Advantages
The Gold distiller, also known as the mercury steamer, amalgam retort, or amalgam distillation tank, is commonly used in small and medium-sized mines for gold selection. The distillation method separates the mercury and gold in the mercury paste since the gasification temperature of mercury is lower than the melting point and boiling point of gold. This allows for regular distillation of solid mercury paste produced by the gold separation plant. To ensure complete separation of mercury from the mercury paste, many gold separation plants control the temperature of mercury vapor at 400-450 degrees Celsius and raise it to 750-800 degrees Celsius during later stages of vaporization for a duration of 30 minutes. The recovery rate of evaporated mercury is typically over 99% within a period of 5-6 hours. Distillation tanks are used by small and medium-sized mines to steam mercury, while large mines use distillation furnaces.

Features

Small size makes it easy to carry and transfer.
High distillation efficiency with simple operation.
Compact design includes a unique water cooling device that ensures complete liquefaction of mercury.
Even three special devices are included in each distillation tank to prevent residual Mercury vapor from causing harm to humans after leaving the tank.

Product Structure

【Gold Distiller Working Principle】
The mercury and gold in the mercury paste are separated through distillation because the gasification temperature of mercury is lower than the melting and boiling points of gold.

The solid mercury paste is placed in a sealed cast steel tank, with an iron pipe connected to its top that contains a condensing pipe. As the temperature gradually reaches 356 degrees, the mercury in the paste vaporizes and escapes along the iron pipe. It then condenses into spherical droplets below water level, where it is recovered in a container.
